Biomedical Ethics – Dr Scott Rae
Dr Scott Rae is a medical and business ethicist from Biola University. Dr. Rae’s primary interests are medical ethics and business ethics, dealing with the application of Christian ethics to medicine and the marketplace. He is a consultant for ethics for four Southern California hospitals. He is a fellow of the Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity and a fellow of the Wilberforce Forum. He talks to Simon Smart from the Centre for Public Christianity about some controversial areas of medical ethics – euthanasia, abortion and what it means to be a human being.
I certainly wouldn’t say that a [philosophical] naturalist is amoral. That’s not fair.
I do think it’s fair to say that philosophical naturalism has an inadequately grounded view of morality.
