Atheist “Rationalism” & Closed-Mindedness

I always find it intriguing that dogmatic secularists and atheist rationalists think that the path to “free thinking” involves closing their minds to certain potential aspects of reality, being and knowledge. Curious.

If atheist “Free-thinking” involves restricting reality to materialism (what is ‘matter’ anyway ?- ask a quantum physicist), restricting ontology to physicalism, and restricting epistemology to sensory input data and formal proofs – this kind of “free thinking” seems to me (and many others) to be restrictive, reductionist and closed-minded.
